Through a design assist approach and early involvement, Steel Encounters was able to modify the curtain wall system design to allow an additional 1/4" of floor deflection, thus reducing structural steel (by others) by $300k. Curtain wall cost increase was less than $40k.
Also, by providing optional cost models, the Owner was able to make true "value" decisions. For example, glass options that offered varied levels of quality, aesthetics, performance, and delivery.

Facilitated the seismic movements of the GFRC panels with the design of our metal panel perimeter closures to close scope gap.
