Steel Encounters is an Employee Owned Company (ESOP), which means employee's receive dividends towards retirement. Steel Encounters also provides a 401(k) plan, and a profit sharing program with discretionary employer match.

Paid Time Off

At Steel Encounters, we believe a work life balance is important. We provide a very competitive PTO plan. Additionally, both full and part-time employees are eligible for holiday pay for all major observed holidays (including July 24th and the day after Thanksgiving).

Steel Encounters offers family health insurance through Cigna. Benefit plan options include medical, dental, vision, life and disability. The company pays a large portion of your premium.

Safety is a top priority at Steel Encounters. In an effort to ensure the safety and security of each person, Steel Encounters has a strict drug policy. Employees are subject to a pre-employment drug screen; random drug screens and drug testing for an injury or incident.

Ongoing Training and Development

Steel Encounters provides ongoing training and development. Many courses (particularly those on safety, quality, and leadership) are stored on the Steel Encounters University portal for easy view.  

Charitable Donation Match 

You choose the charity, and the company matches your donation up to $250 per year.

Employees may purchase logo apparel items and accessories on the company store. We offer safety t-shirts and hoodies at a discounted rate, as well as sunglasses, outerwear, and hats.
