PROJECT DESCRIPTION​

The new home of the Salt Lake Bees is an architectural home run. This state-of-the-art facility features a distinctive design that blends tradition with contemporary flair, showcasing a dynamic interplay of materials and a visually stunning facade.

 

Steel Encounters is honored to have delivered a significant work scope, helping realize the ambitious design and exceptional build quality of this landmark stadium.

 

The ballpark is part of a mixed-use entertainment district and a larger development; the Downtown Daybreak. The ballpark accommodates a total of 8,000 fans; 6,500 in seats, and an additional 1,500 on the grass and in picnic areas. The ballpark features a 12,000 sf clubhouse, training and player development areas, and multiple batting cages.

The Mission: Deliver the new Salt Lake Bees stadium, Daybreak Field, precisely for its opening day in April 2025. Groundbreaking occurred in October 2023, which mandated an exceptionally aggressive, fast-track construction schedule. Design, procurement, and construction ran concurrently, demanding unparalleled coordination and agility from every partner.

 

The Process: Preconstruction expertise and precision during the installation phase were critical. Requirements included the ability to seamlessly integrate with the demanding concurrent build method. Meticulous planning proved essential in navigating the project's rapid pace.

 

The Result: Collectively, all subcontractors dedicated the required resources, and the ballpark opened on time. Our team's dedication in collaboration with the Owner, general contractor, architect, and fellow partners was critical in successfully meeting the project's ambitious timeline.
