Washington Convention Center Expansion
The Washington State Convention Center is growing. A transformative project that provides a host of economic benefits, including as much as $260 million annually in visitor spending; 3,900 direct and indirect jobs, and some 6,000 jobs during construction. Planning began in 2016; the project broke ground in 2019, and the Center is slated to be complete in 2022.
A joint venture between Clark and Lease Crutcher Lewis, in lieu of a traditional “bottom to top” approach with the structural steel, the team is constructing the addition to the building from east to west, resulting in a shorter construction duration by one year.
